BirdLife Indonesia was established on 15 July 2002, as an independent, Indonesian non-government organisation, after working for 10 years as the program office of BirdLife International in Indonesia. BirdLife Indonesia provides opportunities for the public to take practical action to conserve birds and their habitats in Indonesia.

1. Stakeholder Relations Officer

Responsibilities:
• To support the implementation of the BirdLife Indonesia Programme in Mbeliling through planning and implementation of advocacy activities to key stakeholders with the purpose of taking action in support of the project objectives

Requirements:
• University degree in social science, law or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience of working with local community groups, government bureaucracies and other stakeholders
• Familiar with Indonesian policy on forest management, conservation, and collaborative management and decentralization
• Good facilitator and experience of development forums
• Good coordination and organizational skills
• Spoken English will be an advantage
• Previous experience of working at remote locations will be an advantage

2. Community Participation Officer
Responsibilities:
• To lead community participation in the conservation efforts in Mbeliling. To ensure that communities support and agree with other stakeholders on the collaborative management of the area

Requirements:
• University degree in socio-economy, anthropology, philosophy or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience of working with communities and with local governments
• Team-building and training methods
• Good facilitator and mediator
• Familiar with Participatory Rural Appraisal and other participatory methods
• Understand Millennium Development Goals concept.
• Self-motivated, innovative, with ability to work with limited supervision, strong commitment to nature conservation
• Previous experience of working at remote locations will be an advantage

3. Communication and Awareness Officer
Responsibilities:
• To support the implementation of the BirdLife Programme on Mbeliling through planning and implementation of awareness activities aimed at key stakeholders so that they take action in support of the project objectives

Requirements:
• University degree in communication & education or similar skills
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Working knowledge of designing and analysing data and survey questionnaires
• Working experience of environmental education program in schools and on radio
• Good communications skills
• Good facilitator of meetings
• Good computer skills in Photoshop, Page Maker and Survey Pro
• Experience of working with community groups and local government
• Previous experience of working at remote locations will be an advantage

4. Finance and Administration Officer
Responsibilities:
• To manage all financial and administrative aspects of the project at site level

Requirements:
• Hold min D3 / University degree in finance and administration
• At least 2 years of working within administration and finance
• Experience of financial reporting
• Good Computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word)
• Good coordination and organizational skills
• Previous experience of working at remote locations will be an advantage
• Ability to speak English will be an advantage

5. Team Leader - Conservation Management Officer
Responsibilities:
• To manage all aspects of the project implementation in Mbeliling through liaison with local government agencies, central government, local communities and other relevant NGOs working in the Mbeliling area and prepare and maintain report to donor

Requirements:
• University degree in biodiversity conservation, environmental management, Ecology Landscape or related discipline
• Familiar with Indonesian policy on forest management, conservation and collaborative management and zone system
• Experience of working with local government bureaucracies, community groups and other NGO
• Working knowledge of strategic planning processes; proposal development and community participation
• Working knowledge of developing detailed work plans and budgets
• Experience of project reporting and donor relations
• Good coordination and organizational skills
• Experience of managing staff
• Fluency in oral and written English
• At least 7 years relevant working experience
